The legendary Australian Light Horse has fought in battles and campaigns immortalised in Australian History- The Nek, Popes Hill and Quinn’s Post at Gallipoli- The charge at Beersheba, Romani, Gaza and Magdhaba in the Middle East. They raced Lawrence of Arabia for the prize of Damascus and won.

This story traces the Light Horse from its origins in the Boer War through to the end of WW1. Featuring Mark Lee from the film “Gallipoli” as the presenter, it is the story of the Australian Light Horse, the men, the famous Waler horse and their great commander Harry Chauval.

The video consists of 2 parts. Part 1“Saving the Suez”, and Part 2“A dash through the desert”. Running time is 106 minutes, and it contains primarily all original footage.
